Carlton Digby School is a maintained special school for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities aged from 3-18 years of age. The school currently has 71 pupils on roll. This purpose-built school was completed in September 2012 and the pupils and staff benefit from excellent teaching and learning facilities. In March 2018 the school was given an Ofsted grading of ‘Good’. 

Due to an increase in pupil numbers, we are seeking to appoint a second Assistant Head Teacher for September 2019. The post involves overall coordination of a department of five classes within the school. The post holder will be expected to lead and manage department staff and further develop the appropriate school curriculum within that department. Coordination of a significant curriculum area throughout the school will form part of the role (please indicate your area of strength on application). 

The successful candidate will be passionate about pupils’ learning and have proven skills required to lead and manage a successful team of dedicated teachers and support staff.

Current engagement with NPQSL or willingness to engage is essential.

The closing date for applications is Friday 26th April at 12 noon with interviews taking place Thursday 9th May 2019.
