Qualified Class Teacher
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and forward thinking teacher to join our successful school from September 2019.
Carlton Digby School is a maintained special school for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities aged from 3-18 years of age. The school currently has 71 pupils on roll. This purpose-built school was completed in September 2012 and the pupils and staff benefit from excellent teaching and learning facilities. In March 2018 the school was given an Ofsted grading of ‘Good’.
Due to the increasing number of pupils on roll a vacancy has arisen for a full time, permanent teacher M1-6. The successful candidate will be responsible for a named class but will also be required to teach other groups within the school. The teacher will be expected to lead and manage a curriculum area throughout the school. The area of curriculum responsibility is open to some negotiation. Please ensure your letter of application specifies your area of strength.
The successful candidate will be passionate about pupils’ learning and working as part of a successful team. We welcome applications from successful NQTs.
The closing date for applications is Friday 26th April at 12 noon with interviews taking place Friday 10th May.
Visits by prospective candidates are strongly advised on Friday 5th April at 2.00pm or Tuesday 23rd April at 9.30am or 2.00pm. Please contact the school on 0115 9568289.
If you do not hear from us within 2 weeks of the closing date we regret to advise your application was unsuccessful and due to previous high response, will be unable to provide individual feedback.
Nottinghamshire County Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check.
