An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social worker to join the MASH Adults Team.

The MASH provides an ideal opportunity to work in a unique environment working closely with partner agencies. It also offers an established and supportive culture where you will be able to further develop your expertise in safeguarding to develop your career. You will be joining the team at a pivotal point where processes are being reviewed to develop practice and improve outcomes for those at risk.

We are looking for a social worker with at least 2 years post qualifying experience who can work as part of a multi-agency team in a fast-paced environment, whilst supporting colleagues to make timely decisions to respond to safeguarding concerns and customer demand. Alongside this, you will be able to contribute towards the changes taking place in the team and will have the opportunity to work within district teams to raise awareness of safeguarding and the work undertaken in the MASH.

You must be able to evidence the skills required to prioritise risk and effectively manage your own case load whilst identifying any issues or concerns that may impact on service delivery and escalate these appropriately.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Professional social work qualification
  • At least 2 years experience working at band B
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Excellent customer service and IT skills

In addition, you will need to have a thorough working knowledge of the Department’s current adult care strategies and demonstrate that you are up to date with the developments within Adult Social Care & Health, and safeguarding both locally and nationally.
