An opportunity has arisen to appoint an energetic and self-motivated individual with a broad experience of Highways Development Control who will deal with providing the Highway Authority’s highway advice on Planning Applications to the Local Planning Authorities and deal with all aspects of processing Section 38 and 278 Agreements.

Working as part of the team you will also be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to development control officers within the team. You will provide administrative and technical support to protect the Highway Authority’s interests in respect of policies, legal agreements, licences and highway records and inventories. You will have detailed knowledge of highways/transport and planning policy and law together with a thorough knowledge of Highway Development Control procedures and practices in a Local Authority environment.

An HND/HNC (or equivalent) qualification in civil engineering/transportation or appropriate discipline or 5 GCSE grade A-C including Maths and English and a minimum of 5 years directly related experience is essential.

A current full UK Driving Licence is required.
