Would you like to find out about more about working with children, young people and families as part of a positive, supportive team, without committing to this on a long-term basis?
What we can offer you:
· Experience in assessment for and prescription of specialist seating
· Experience in sling assessment and provision, and moving and handling assessments
· The chance to recommend and progress major adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grants, working with different District/Borough councils and housing organisations
· The opportunity to develop your clinical reasoning skills through the provision of complex equipment and working with complex diagnoses and social situations
· Regular supervision
We are looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with enthusiasm to provide an excellent service for disabled children, young people and their families. You will have good communication skills and the ability to form positive relationships with a wide range of partner agencies.
The ICDS-OT team is a countywide team and we complete regular after school visits.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
The County Council welcomes applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, age or sexual orientation.
