Functional Support Officer
A Functional Support Officer is required to provide on-going technical and functional support for the HR and Payroll modules of SAP/BMS. You will join one of five teams in the Competency Centre who manage and deliver support, maintenance and development of SAP/BMS and related systems.
The post holder is responsible for delivering functional and technical expertise and providing 2nd line end-user support for the HR (Portal) and Payroll areas of SAP/BMS. You will understand the service needs and key activities of the organisation.
Key responsibilities include the identification, analysis and resolution of system incidents; gathering business needs and translating into solutions; undertake and test configuration changes following change management procedures; assisting with the provision of appropriate documentation and ensuring compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
Functional Support Officers work collaboratively within the Competency Centre, with key stakeholders both within the BSC and across the Authority and engage with third parties in the on-going provision and development of the SAP/BMS and related systems.
The role entails some out of hours and weekend working.
