Magnus Church of England Academy, an academy within the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint to the following roles:

Graduate Intern – Behaviour Support

Our graduate intern roles are aimed at recent graduates who have the aspiration to become teachers. The role provides a range of experiences including; assisting students who require additional support due to their SEN or behavioural needs, covering lessons and contributing to the extra-curricular programme the academy provides. Each graduate intern will be supported through a mentor programme and be attached to a teaching faculty. The post holders will also challenge and support students, help with organisational and study skills and provide homework and revision sessions.

The graduate intern – behaviour support role also includes helping to reduce the number of students from receiving fixed term exclusions, and assisting those being isolated, by providing emotional support for students with difficulties. This role will include supporting students in our enhanced provision unit with SEMH needs.

Learning Support Assistant

This role involves working under the direction of the Learning Support Leads to assist teaching and learning through supporting students, especially those within vulnerable groups (such as SEN, Pupil Premium, LAC, EAL) either within the classroom, on a one to one or small group basis within our enhanced provision unit.  The post also involves covering lessons by managing classes and delivering pre-planned work when colleagues are absent, ensuring that high standards as set out and academy policies are maintained, especially with regard to teaching and learning, behaviour and safeguarding.
