Up to £600 per week (dependent on skills, experience and needs of the child)

We are looking to recruit support foster carers (part time) for a 7 year old boy and a 10 year old girl who are placed with foster carers. Support care can offer a break to parents and children when relationships in families become tense, or when families need time to recuperate. You will provide short, regular periods of care such as a few days in the week, regular weekends and short breaks in the school holidays.

All foster carers are required to undertake training and an assessment as part of the approval process which takes approximately six months from date of application.

Experience of working with young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, either in a related professional context (e.g. teaching, youth work, social care) or as an experienced foster carer is desirable.

Nottinghamshire County Council will offer up to £600 per week pro rata (equivalent of up to £31k per annum pro rata). The financial package will be looked at as part of the assessment process and will be based on the skills and experience of the applicant and the needs of the child whom they are being linked to.

If you are an existing foster career for another agency we would be happy to discuss the possibility of you transferring to us.

All foster carers are self-employed and are eligible for generous tax benefits and National Insurance credits which counts towards your State Pension. For further details visit https://www.gov.uk/foster-carers/help-with-the-cost-of-fostering.
